The Queensland Racing and Integrity Commission (QRIC) exists to safeguard animal welfare, fairness, and the integrity of Queensland’s racing industry. QRIC is primarily responsible for overseeing the integrity of race meetings across Queensland including stewardship of all races, licensing race day participants, the provision of veterinary services, industry education (nurturing voluntary compliance) and race day sampling.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead QRIC's Wagering Integrity function and make a real impact on the integrity of Queensland racing.

In this role, you will drive strategy, oversee intelligence activities, and provide expert advice on wagering, bookmaker licensing and integrity risks.

You will monitor betting markets and wagering activity to identify irregularities, anomalies and emerging risks, using intelligence and forensic analysis to support investigations and regulatory responses.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will help deliver data-driven, intelligence-based decisions that strengthen integrity outcomes across the Commission.

To be successful in this you will have extensive expertise in the wagering industry and its intersection with racing, with a strong understanding of the Rules of Racing, Rules of Betting, and the Racing Integrity Act 2016. You will demonstrate strong analytical and interpretive skills across complex data sets, with the ability to identify trends, anomalies and potential integrity concerns to inform sound, evidence-based decision making. Proven leadership experience in developing and managing intelligence functions, combined with the ability to lead change, communicate openly, build strong relationships and deliver strategic integrity outcomes in a complex, fast-paced environment, is also required.
