Motorcycling NSW is responsible for the administration, development and promotion of motorcycle racing. Motorcycling NSW boasts a strong commercial operation as well as 111 affiliated clubs, promoters and coaches and membership base of over 8000 with a solid state championship series and club based activity. Both junior and senior members participate year-round across 9 disciplines.
With a new President and CEO in place, new racing facilities under construction at the Eastern Creek Motor Sports Precinct, a focus on diversity, and endless potential for the growth and development, now is an exciting time to join Motorcycling New South Wales!
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Sport Development Manager will lead the development of the organisation to get more people involved in motorcycle competition, more often. The role responsible for a number of key tasks such as managing the Sport Development team, assisting clubs and tracks at a grass-roots level, and coordinating many of the key Motorcycling NSW Championship events.
To be considered for this role you will need to be a dynamic leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. A true sport management professional, you will have a demonstrated ability to review and implement long term development and participation programs, policy, budgets and strategic plans, resulting in participation and membership growth. Candidates will need to be skilled in developing strong relationships, respond positively to the requirements of stakeholders and have the ability to relate to people at all levels.
A motor sport or automotive background is not essential, however will be looked upon favourably.
