Canterbury Bankstown (the largest Council in NSW) is a thriving cosmopolitan area located just 9kms southwest of the Sydney CBD with 41 diverse and unique suburbs. CB Leisure & Aquatic Services proudly manages five Leisure and Aquatic Centres. It's an exciting time to be joining the Canterbury-Bankstown team as it embarks on a once in a lifetime project which will see the design and construction of two brand new $50m state of the art Leisure & Aquatic Centres!

Reporting to the Coordinator Leisure & Wellness Programs the Leisure & Aquatics Marketing and Engagement Lead (Membership & Engagement Officer) will be responsible for marketing and promoting CB Leisure and Aquatic Services as well as engaging with members, casual visiting customer base and prospective clients through the use of technology such as digital and social media. Combining both innovation and researching industry trends the role will develop marketing campaigns and promotions that engage in a way that is exciting, relevant and with a point of difference. The role also oversees the provision of a high quality experience for all Leisure & Aquatics clientele across the Birrong, Canterbury, Max Parker, Roselands and Wran Leisure & Aquatic Centres.

This dynamic role will work closely and collaboratively with the broader Leadership Team to ensure that the community is aware of the services CB Leisure and Aquatics has on offer, resulting in the increase in revenue streams and visitation, as well as membership retention. There are some really exciting projects that this position will take a lead role in including promoting the design, construction and opening of two brand new $50m state of the art facilities in the near future!

To be considered for this role you will need to have demonstrated success in marketing and promotions using digital / social media and website technologies, ideally from within the Leisure, Aquatics, Recreation, Fitness, Wellness or similar industry. You will be a skilled communicator with proven ability to conceptualise and execute strategies that engage with the wider community as well as enhance CB Leisure and Aquatics membership and visitor experiences.

Qualifications in marketing, community recreation or leisure will be looked upon favourably. An understanding and passion for health and wellbeing and the benefits of engaging in Leisure and Aquatics programs and services is critical to be successful in this role.

This role is integral to the service that CB Leisure & Aquatic Services provides by ensuring more of the community enjoy the health and wellbeing outcomes more often.
